MONPERE salon is a boutique space set in the heart of Rose Bay and is home to a collection of freelance hair and beauty artists. Nestled just opposite the beach, MONPERE first opened its doors in January 2019, and after expanding in late 2020, is continuing to grow by now offering a wide range of hair services, hair styling events and hair extension courses. The light filled and airy space is the perfect tranquil setting for enjoying a luxury hair experience, with floor to ceiling mirrors, beautiful furnishings and its very own cherry blossom tree.
MONPERE salon is unlike many other salons, in that our team is a mixture of staff and freelance artists who manage their own clientele and services. This ensures that each guest receives only the best experience, having selected their own stylist based upon their individual expertise. We welcome guests who wish to book in for their own hair transformation, freelancers wishing to rent a chair and people looking to expand their hair knowledge with our styling and extension courses. Our own Hair Extension courses and masterclasses commenced in Spring 2022 which you can book now by visiting our Hair Extension Course page. Our BRAND NEW hair academy opened in March 2023, and has already been home to several Hair Extension courses and masterclasses, as well as our very popular Cocktails + Curls events! Hair Extension
Specialist & Educator
Amy is the owner of MONPERE Salon and Academy, a renowned hair extension specialist, educator, and passionate advocate for hair loss solutions. Originally from Hampshire, England, Amy's journey into the world of hair began during her career as a professional dancer in London. Hair and wigs were an essential part of the performing arts, and this sparked her deep interest in exploring everything about hair, especially hair extensions. Her own experience with hair thinning motivated her to specialize in hair extensions and sparked an ongoing dedication to researching hair loss conditions and treatments.

With extensive training in the UK, Amy became a highly certified hair extension technician, specialising in hair loss integration systems and wigs. Over the years she’s honed her skills through working with clients, celebrities, and influencers, and continues to stay at the forefront of the latest trends and advancements in hair care.

Amy’s passion for teaching led her to open her own hair academy, where she now shares her expertise with aspiring professionals. After moving to Sydney to further her hairdressing qualifications and spending several years in prestigious salons around the Eastern Suburbs, she has built a strong reputation as a leading extension technician.
Amy's commitment to quality and education shines through in everything she does. She is deeply dedicated to helping people understand and embrace their hair, particularly those experiencing hair loss, by offering customised solutions and guidance every step of the way.

BECKY
Colourist, Stylist and Curly Hair Specialist
Becky is our blonde and curly hair specialist at MONPERE salon, with over 13 years of experience in the hairdressing industry. Having honed her skills in London, she’s now recognised throughout Sydney, particularly in the Eastern Suburbs, for her expertise in blondes, balayage, and curly hair transformations.
Becky’s approach is rooted in consultation, ensuring that every client feels relaxed and comfortable while working together to achieve their desired look. Her focus is always on maintaining the health and integrity of natural hair. From colour services to her signature INCA GLOW smoothing treatments that keep frizz at bay for up to 16 weeks, Becky’s passion for her craft shines through in every detail.
Outside the salon, Becky enjoys dancing, singing, and swimming.

KERI
Colourist and Stylist
Our amazing colour specialist Keri has been hairdressing for 13 years and is obsessed with perfecting her clients' ultimate hair dreams. Originally from Scotland, Keri started her hair training as soon as she left school and her passion for making people feel their very best has only intensified. Keri loves learning new things and is constantly updating her already wide skill set.

Her favourite thing to do? Blonde foils! It's like her therapy, and once she gets started she could happily foil all day. She loves using different techniques to create beautiful balayages, expensive brunettes and glossy looking colours and is very focused on maintaing the health and integrity of her client's hair.
As well as doing a fabulous blonde, she's also amazing at styling, with many of our guests coming in each week just to see her for their blowdries.
